A girl named Fern finds out that she is an otherworldie, or a vampire. When she finds out that she and her brother Sam are in danger from a vampire named Vladimir they end up going into hiding for a while. And though it is supposed to be a safe place, she ends up being attacked by a Hundred-Handed one. A great read for younger teens.
